Join our team!

We welcome long and short term volunteers, students or professionals regardless of age and sex. We need people who are passionate in education, social issues, community development, children and women right or who have experience in NGO management and program evaluation.

Volunteer's Responsibilities
Teach English, science or art subjects in kindergarden, primary or secondary school.
Work or assist at in clinic, health centers or hospitals which are usually in short of professional medical personnel
Work with the local communities on social issues such as employment, children rights, HIV/ADIS, entrepreneurship, etc.

Accommodation

Volunteer can choose to stay at John's place or selected homestay family. You can even ask for switching between.
John's home
The place is located at Boma, Tanzania, which is 30 min away from Moshi by bus. You'll share a room with another volunteer but you'll have your own bed. The room is equipped with a bathroom. Meals will be provided.
Fees
Each volunteer is required to pay a minimum fee of US $10 per day.

It includes : 

  • Orientation

  • 3 meals 

  • Accommodation

* It does not include flight, VISA, vaccination, insurance, transportation, internet and leisure expenses.

Preparation

 

You can easily buy most daily commodies in Moshi town. There are few things you might want to know before the trip.

Medication & Insurance
Yellow fever vaccine and malaria pills are necessary to get before the trip. Other vaccinations are also recommended.
Please consult with travel clinic for more detailed information. 
It is also important to have an insurance that can cover you while you are abroad.
Clothing
There are two rain seasons in Tanzania. Bring a rain coat with you if you're coming at that time.
For woman: shorts are not recommended in Tanzania; tanktop has become more acceptable now but t-shirt is still more common.
VISA
For short-term volunteer, you should apply for business visa
(250 $) that you can get on arrival at the airport.
For long-term volunteer (more than 3 months), you should consider another solution. Please contact us to discuss ! 

Volunteering with tourist visa can cause problems with the immigration and for the organization.
